Favorite Customer Engagement Automation Tools

As a busy entrepreneur, often running your business solo, it pays to use automation tools to help create systems that enable you to more effectively run your business.

There are great tools all over the internet, but sometimes you need to tap into your network to share ideas. So for this post I reached out to my community of smart contributors and asked –

What is your favorite automation tool that assists you with customer engagement, and why do you think it rocks?

As you will see from the submissions below, Hootsuite comes out on top for social network communications, but you will also find recommended tools for blogging, marketing, and upsells. An interesting, and brand new find I’m testing right now is KickOffLabs. This tool provides easy to create landing pages you can use to launch a product, host an event, build an email list, and generally gather interest around something new and exciting you are doing in your business. I was able to set it up in no time, and I am NOT a techie at all! And the coolest part is that you can integrate it with MailChimp or use its built-in email marketing features. Check out the landing page for golfers I created using KickOffLabs.com.

If you have a favorite automation tool that has helped you increase customer engagement, I welcome you to share it in the comments below. Enjoy!

1. Blog Engage | Networked Blogs | Triberr – OH MY!!!

When it comes to getting eyes on Keep the Tail Wagging I’ve learned that it’s all about quality, consistent content. When I combine that with a few automation tools – it gives me access to a wide audience, while saving me a lot of time.

Blog Engage is a fantastic community of Bloggers who provide me with great content to read and learn from and also take the time to visit, comment on, and share my blog posts too!

I’ve connected my RSS Feed to the Facebook App Networked Blogs to automatically feed each blog post my Facebook page and Twitter profile.

I use my Triberr WordPress Plugin to automatically feed each blog post to my tribes; my tribe mates share each post with their Twitter followers.

These three tools have expanded my blog’s reach helping my business grow faster!

2. Let’s Get Viral

Viral Tweet Builder is an amazing tool that helps increase customer engagement for free! Viral Tweet Builder manages multiple social media accounts, but most importantly it allows you to create affiliate links to Clickbank and Paydotcom automatically based off of customer’s interactions with our posts. This is an incredibly easy way to find the best possible products for our target audience through our social media postings on multiple platforms.

3. ETrigue-Timely And With Quality

ETrigue is a great marketing innovation program that helps increase the quality of your prospect engagement by sending lead nurturing marketing messages in a way that aligns marketing campaigns with prospect needs and readiness for action. Taking the time to set up up each aspect of an email marketing campaign can be very time consuming so eTrigue cuts down the marketing time and improves engagement by responding with the right information at the right time.

4. Hootsuite Is Not Just For Owls!

I love Hootsuite! I use it faithfully to schedule tweets on Twitter. Simply create an excel spreadsheet with your top tweets for the day and upload the sheet to Hootsuite. Hootsuite can take 200 tweets at a time, so even if you are away for the weekend, you can load in 50 tweets a day and you’ll be covered for four days! You still need to be creative with your tweets, so you do not bore your Twitter audience. Hootsuite simply helps you have a presence, even when you are not sitting at the computer.

5. Hootsuite Definitely Rocks!

I must say that I’ve tried and error with different techniques to help me stay engaged with my fans/followers. I have been using Hootsuite for a while now and I must say that you can update your social media sites all in one place. I highly recommend this service to you. you will be so glad you did. Hootsuite definitely rocks.

6. Life’s Sweeter With Infusionsoft

As a small business owner I like to do as much as possible to keep costs down. But after years of aweber and a mish mash of other supposedly helpful tools, that really only infuriated me because they never really did the job (plus the fact I had to keep updating changing moving stuff around to get it to go out in the right order), I was just giving myself grief for nothing. The system that is my dream is Infusionsoft — it does everything. Not only that, after you go through set-up you’ll notice how much more time you seem to have and how less stressed you are. Now I don’t have to worry about the sales and marketing for individual customers, because it’s all automated to the point the system emails me to tell me what to do. Not a cheap bit of kit, but how much is your time worth.

7. Tweetdeck Saves Time!

One of my favorite automation tools to increase customer engagement is Tweetdeck. Tweetdeck has a whole lot of cool features, but one of the best is the ability to schedule future social media posts. Submitting relevant social media post on Facebook, Twitter and the like can take much more time when doing it incrementally at different parts of the day and week. But when you can come up with a week’s worth in one shot and just have Tweetdeck post it for you, it saves lots of time that you can use to focus on our real-time interactions with our potential and existing customers.

8. The Genius Of Smartagent

A great automation tool that we use to increase our customer engagement is Upsellit’s Smartagent Sales Assistant. This highly intuitive program simulates a live chat with an automated customer service member that is activated when you mouse over certain parts of the site. In addition to bringing in more sales, this helps us to understand the strengths and weakness of our website by tracking customer’s feedback that is logged into the simulated chat. It’s a great way to help improve our relationships with our customers.

9. Hoot! Hoot!

Hootsuite is a great automation tool that really helps increase customer engagement. Besides automatic post scheduling, Hootsuite allows us to track what our customers are interested in via our social media postings. It allows us to view detailed reports of how engaged our potential customers are with each social media post allowing us to see what is most effective. This way we can plan ahead and keep our interactions highly engaging.
