Reflect Your Best in Business and Life

Performance Tip of the Week

Most of what you do in business is a reflection of how you think about yourself. From your marketing messages to your interactions with customers, it’s important to regularly self-check and examine what you are conveying through your words and actions.

Worrying about pleasing the whole world is a waste of good effort. It’s vital to isolate the focus of your time, energy and resources to doing what it takes to reflect your best for the niche you long to serve.

What does it mean to REFLECT YOUR BEST?

The journey begins on the inside, where your beliefs and self-worth originate and shine through your actions. A flame that is faint, and flickering is a shaky foundation on which to stand personally and professionally. To reflect your best means to embrace and leverage that which makes you unique, strong, beautiful, and vulnerable, . And if you aren’t sure what you truly have to offer the world, then you need to spend some time figuring that out. Because trying to fit your life into someone else’s mold will only lead to discontent.

Your natural hard-wiring, life experiences, knowledge and insight are the essential ingredients for your success. How you choose to use them is up to you. My recommendation is to be exactly who you are, rather than the someone you think you should be as a result of listening to the world’s messages.

Be grateful for how God has refined and prepared you to live your dream, and do whatever it takes to reflect that gratitude through your actions to the world. Eyes are on you, looking for an example of someone who is lovingly accepting herself just the way she is — failures, successes, bumps, bruises, and sparkle. What are you choosing to reflect?

Remove those ‘I want you to like me’ stickers from your forehead and, instead, place them where they truly will do the most good — on your mirror! – Susan Jeffers
