What are your business aspirations?

Are you thinking BIG?

Do you envision yourself running a MILLION DOLLAR business?

Playing big in business is not about hitting a single. Your mindset should be set on discovering everything it will take to knock it out of the park! If it’s not, then you need to take some time to figure out what’s holding you back.

Now if a small business — one that provides you with some extra income or something to do while the kids are in school — is all you desire, there’s nothing wrong with that. The most important thing to do is follow your heart.  But if you know that you are destined for greatness, what are you doing RIGHT NOW to boldly move yourself in that direction?

Our world needs women leaders — women who are ambitious, brave, and inspired! Ahh…what a beautiful picture, right? We need women who don’t allow the opinions of others to stand in the way of achieving their goals, and those who are willing to set an example for the younger generations to follow — Women who say, “Make mine a million dollar business!”

Perhaps you recently read those words in a Huffington Post article by Nell Merlino, like I did. I delved deeper to learn about her not-for-profit, Count Me In, and the Make Mine a Million $ Business initiative.

According to the statistics, nearly 50% of all start-ups and privately owned businesses are run by women. Yet, only 2.6% of these women-owned businesses have reached the million dollar mark, as compared to 6% of men-owned businesses. Count Me In is on a mission to provide women the tools, resources and motivation to accelerate business success, thereby creating jobs and fueling economic growth.

If you haven’t taken the time to check out this site, or the resources provided, do so. Perhaps you will be the next amazing woman to be awarded a spot in this program. My point is to go out there an create your future. There are resources like Count Me In to support women on their journey to success, so don’t allow anyone or anything to deter you from your greatness.
