Loving Yourself Makes A Difference in Business

Welcome to the Tip of the Week!

For my final tip, during this month of LOVE, I wanted to address the person to which you should show the most care — YOU.  This is not carte blanche to be selfish, narcissistic or egotistical, rather direction to avoid regularly neglecting yourself.  You will find that I talk about self-care a lot, because so many business owners don’t understand the inherent danger in forgetting oneself in pursuit of success.

As an entrepreneur, it is easy to always fall to the bottom of your “to-do” list, but that doesn’t make it the wise choice.  Whenever I am entrenched in a project, I struggle with choosing self-care over pushing my business ahead.  But the truth is that the more you sacrifice yourself, the less success you will be capable of manifesting.

When you have a big red “E” flashing on your mental, emotional and/or physical fuel tank, your business will begin to suffer.  Better to take refreshing breaks throughout the day and week to keep yourself functioning at peak levels, than to push to the point of exhaustion and have nothing left to give anyone.

So before the month of February comes to a close, I challenge you to find 3 creative ways you can find respite in your day, and commit them to your schedule.  Please share your top choice in the comments below. The more you take care of yourself, the more efficiently you will be able to develop your business, and ultimately have more free time at your disposal.

That’s great! And hopefully will be an inspiration to others who read of your successful tip. It’s amazing how much my thoughts open up to new possibilities when I go for a walk too. Plus, getting a bit of exercise is an added benefit. 🙂 Thank you for sharing and have a great day!
