1. Get Published In 14 Days!

One of my go-to resources and one that I recommend to clients is a FREE e-book titled, How to Write an E-book in Just 14 Days. One of many free resources that Jennifer offers, this e-book walks you through the entire process from concept to launch. In my business working with small business owners, it is critical to find affordable tools to help clients reach their goals. This free resource is one that I gladly endorse and share with clients who want to be published. If you are a looking to sell or even give-away an e-book this resource is for you! 2. When Silence Isn’t Golden

“Eliminating Cultures of Silence” is a free position paper from Vital Smarts. Its five-point message is preventative and will help businesses large and small identify the ethical warning signals that can spell disaster if ignored. Like so much from Vital Smarts, it is written in a clear, user-friendly style that guides without sounding preachy.

4. Fantastic EBooks For Bloggers!

I’m a photography blogger and I’m constantly on the look out for eBooks that will help me with the business of blogging. One author that I’ve found to provide consistently great information is Seth Godin. Two free eBooks that I highly recommend are:

Who’s There? Seth Godin’s Incomplete Guide to Blogs and the News Web

Unleashing the Idea Virus

What I like most about Seth Godin’s eBooks is that he’s sharing helpful information, not trying to sell me some quick fix to get to the top of Google.

5. It Sure Beats Working By Michael Katz

Red plume was already a registered business when I came across this ebook, but it gave me such a boost in energy and excitement that got me over the (giant) fear hump. Email newsletter guru and founder of Blue Penguin Development, Michael Katz is really funny and inspires as he shares nuggets of starting a business. Actually, I still read it now and again to remind me why we started the business and to work through lingering doubts. I also love his writing style so get a shot of creativity every time I read something from him.

6. Inspiration Or Industry Leader? Find The Book That Drives Your Ambition.

Let me preface this by saying I am a techno geek. My most influential ebook is always the Social Media Examiner Social Media Marketing Report. This is a report that gives me detailed analytics about my industry and helps me craft my strategy in better alignment with trends. I read constantly. I have read many business books, ebooks, blogs, articles and quips. Finding something that inspires and guides is great if that is what you need. But not all stages of your career require inspired reading. Sometimes you need to hone your craft and make sure that your knowledge is cutting edge. So is the book that is best for you an industry report that helps you be top of your industry, or is it something that inspires you to push yourself. What book drives your ambition?

7. It All Begins With A Big Vision

I’m a big fan of Christine Kane’s ebook, “The Complete Guide to Vision Boards.” There is no fluff in this ebook! Not only is it beautifully designed, it provides practical steps on how to create a vision for your life and business. I regularly recommend this ebook to my clients, because honestly it all begins with your vision. Sometimes the process of creating a vision board can be daunting, but this ebook is the perfect guide.

Transparent and full of practical guidelines, the ebook is a must-read for anyone who longs to find true meaning in their work. In addition to sections on values and strategies, the second half of the ebook is dedicated 15 profitability keys, including things like budgeting a profit, policies that remove stress, sales principles that work, and bottom-line marketing.

9. Big Commerce Baby!

The best free Ebook for entrepreneurs who run e-commerce businesses has to be Big Commerce’s ‘Guerilla Marketing With Social Media.’ It is absolutely fantastic and really helps entrepreneurs to get to grips with marketing a small online business on a budget. Another great thing is that it highlights some of the best social media marketing tools to use, why and how, and is easy to read and follow.

10. Time On Task

Productivity Secrets for Entrepreneurs: How to Get More Done & Make More Money by TimeonTaskVA.com, Kathy Colovaccio.

I am not, by nature, really organized in general life. In fact, the word ‘organize’ feels like my enemy! However, since I started following the tips in the eBook, I’ve noticed that I find things faster; I’m starting to take the time to put things in order as I do them; create priority lists that have the right priorities on them. Big tasks? More and more I break the project into bite-sized chunks so the big tasks are not so daunting.

I don’t think I realized how much time I was spending trying to find a book, or a particular paper. Small business or large business–time is money! Today, I am more revenue productive.

My Contribution This Week

Last week, Carol Roth introduced me to a wonderful new (and Free) ebook from Seth Godin’s The Domino Project team, called No Idling. This project contains amazing stories of overcoming resistance and “doing the work” from contributors like Carol Roth, Michael Port, and Bob Burg, to name a few. This is an ebook that no only inspires, but will kick you in the butt if you’ve been found slacking lately by succumbing to excuses in your life or business. This ebook is meant to be shared, so after allowing it to work some magic in your life, pass the link along to those you know will benefit from the words.

Thanks so much again to all our wonderful contributors for your valuable tips for closing a sale this week!  We hope to hear from you again.

If you are new to the Question of the Week and would like to get involved, simply follow the link below to get started.  We’d love to have you share your knowledge and experiences here too, and get a bit of PR in the process.

This week’s question is –

What Lights Your Entrepreneurial Fire?
The road of the entrepreneur can be rough, full of good days and bad. On the less than lustrous days, we all need something extra to push us onward and upward, even when we don’t feel like it. That one thing, for those of us who are here to serve in a big way, is often what drove us into business in the first place.

What is that ONE thing about your business that lights your fire, and gets you out of bed and over every hurdle, especially on the tough days?

Why should I join the discussion?

Because this online forum is a great place for us to exchange ideas, learn from each other and network. My goal is to unite successful women entrepreneurs to share our insights and solutions to the challenges we most commonly face in our businesses.

How do I get involved?

Every Monday I will post a new Question of the Week. This is a great opportunity for you to bring your expertise to the table. Using the link below, please submit a one paragraph response before the deadline, and the following week I will share our community responses on my blog.

I look forward to your response to this week’s question! If you have any questions you know where to find me. Have a great week!
