Trick or Treat, How Does Your Audience Rate You?

Next weekend kids and adults around the country will be dressing up to hit the town, and comparing who hauled in the biggest bag of sweets or pulled the best pranks.

That’s all well and good outside your business. But the last thing you want in business is to leave your potential clients with the perception that all they got from you was a stale Starburst from last year’s candy bag, instead of the super-sized Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups they were counting on.

What kind of content are you delivering on a regular basis?

You will have times of great inspiration, and others when you feel like it might take the jaws of life to extract another blog post from your brain. Just remember that to be an “A” player in business, you must endeavor to bring your best every time.

There are plenty of business owners who hook hurting people with the promise of something great, only to fold like a house of cards when put to the test. The sad news is that they leave potential customers feeling robbed of their time, and sometimes their money too.

Blogging, for example, should never be about quantity in my opinion. Every post you publish should be a treat for your audience, providing them with another stepping stone on their way to success. After all, isn’t that your goal?

What do you want to known for in the business arena?

This is a simple question with which you should start each day. Take it a step further and post it as a reminder where you will see it often. This question should become the framework for the decisions you make in your business.

If you are reading this post, you are a business owner who sincerely cares about your past, present and future clients. You are a business owner who strives to live and engage others with authenticity. Just beware of those who will try to lead you down the wrong paths with tricks up their sleeves. The moment you begin traversing the “quick and easy” road to success, is when less than your best begins to seem good enough for your customers.

The truth is that there are few true shortcuts in life or business. It is the challenges you face that build your character and increase your value to those whose lives you touch. Your goal should be to exceed expectations with everything you deliver. This step alone will allow you to stand head and shoulders above the masses within your niche.

What can you begin doing today to raise the quality bar in your business? After all, we all have room for improvement. Right?

    Pity so many people are looking for shortcuts and even worse that so many are prepared to ‘provide’ them. Particular problem in online marketing. Brian
