Thank you for reading my blog!

Thank you for being a fan!
It’s nearly February 14th, so I wanted to send you a Valentine, and my sincere appreciation to you for being a member of my audience . It’s such a pleasure and an honor to be able to write for you! But I want more than a writer/audience relationship with you, and I’ll tell you why.
The thing is…I want to make sure that I continue to provide you with the information you want. If you are experiencing a challenge in your business, let me know so that I can help you find a solution. If you just haven’t been able to pull the trigger and start your own company, tell me what you’re afraid of, so I can help you find the courage.
The bottom line, is that I am not doing my job, or fulfilling my purpose if I am not actively helping you achieve yours. The only way I can do my part is if you communicate your needs to me. So in my Jerry Maguire moment, “Help me, help you.”
I am not asking for you to write novels, or share your deepest secrets. The ideal would be to start an open dialog. This way I will be able to write posts that provide you with the kind of information you want. I can create products and services just for you. And I can help you achieve your business dreams. It’s really as simple as opening a door. So if you are interested, let’s get started.
I can offer you the guarantee, that if you reach out to me, I will respond to you.
So…will you be mine?
In an effort to get the ball rolling, please…
- Tell me one factoid about you,
- Where you are from,
- And what you will be doing on Feb. 14th.
What’s in it for you?
I will randomly select one lucky person to receive a FREE 30 minute power phone session with me, from all the responses I receive between today and February 14th at midnight EST.
Sound fair? I look forward to hearing from you! 🙂

Dear Shannon,
I am absolutely delighted! Thank you!
Warm regards,
Conna
Thank you for the invite, Dr. Shannon!
I’m a neophyte when it comes to social media, but I am joyfully testing the waters (thanks to you and others like you). What fun! Healthily overwhelmed and very appreciative of the assistance. Human resources is what I love and do.
Valentines Day will find me being grateful for all the love and fortune that is in my life, pursuing my interest in social media, and eating various forms and types of chocolate. Alas, my significant other is attending a conference on the 14th so we celebrated Valentines Day today!
Thank you for all of your blogs, suggestions, and especially for tip on EverNote.
I hope your Valentines Day rocks!
Lisa, Thanks for your comment and for joining the running for the give-away! I am happy to hear that the information I have been providing is helpful — that makes my day. 🙂 Glad you got a Valentine’s celebration, even if it was a day early. If you haven’t already tried Evernote, I think it is an amazing way to keep track of my ideas. There’s nothing wrong with sticky notes, but this keeps everything online and in one place. Thanks for connecting! Shannon
Hello Shannon,
Here’s a tidbit about me: I grew up in a family who raised more than 100 foster children!
On Valentine’s Day, I will be:
L – Learning about incorporating a nonprofit in California as I prepare to re-launch the Institute for Children, Inc., a think tank that I co-founded (in my adopted hometown of Boston) in 1993;
O – Opening and reading my mail (this requires discipline on my part);
V – Verifying contact information for nonprofits seeking in-kind donations for foster youth so that I can feature the groups on http://donateluggage.com; and
E – Editing my friend Peter Dingle’s upcoming book about realizing one’s potential.
And, I’ll call my mom. ☺
Warm regards,
Conna
Hi Conna! I L.O.V.E. your comment! 🙂 Thanks for bringing such great creativity to this post. Wow, you had lots of “siblings” growing up, which must have made for many adventures around your house. I grew up with 3 sisters and that was enough. 🙂
Your Valentine’s Day sounds like it will be busy and exciting. I wish you the best as you pursue your Inc status. Is CA a tricky state for that? Thank you again for joining the comment stream and throwing your hat in the ring for the drawing next week. Have a wonderful evening. Shannon
Hi, Shannon –
I’m a brand designer and strategist. I work with small business owners to create well-planned, effective brands that attract their clients. I’m from San Luis Obispo, California. I’ll be spending the 14th working on my new class, the “Sparkle Brand Strategy Virtual Intensive” – so that I can teach more entrepreneurs how they can be strategic with their brands. I haven’t taught this in a class format before, and I can hardly wait to get started!
I hope you have a wonderful Valentine’s Day!
– Erin
Hi Erin! Thanks for stopping by to say hello. 🙂 I love the title of your program and wish you great success with your inaugural run. How exciting! How’s the weather in California? It has been overcast and foggy here on the other side of the nation. Thank you for the Valentine’s wishes! I hope yours is great too. Shannon
Hi Shannon,
I’m a serial entrepreneur, having started/bought/owned several businesses over 26 years. My love of books and writing has led to my evolution to become both a writer/ghostwriter and owner of a small publisher/publishing assistance business (17 titles over the past year, with 9 more in work already for this year).
I’m originally from Arkansas but have lived in Jacksonville, Florida since January 1979.
On Valentines Day I will be with my family (4 daughters, my lovely wife of 28 years and our Labradoodle).
Surrounded by women (including Sable our pet) as I am — I particularly appreciate your focus on helping women both start a business and then succeed in running and growing them. I believe that the best things I can do for my daughters is to build strength of character in them. That way they can deal with much, if not all, of what life hands them. From reading your posts–I sense as similar thread in the advice you give… Confidence, Decisiveness, Strength of Purpose, etc.
So Well Done and keep up the good work!
Dennis
Hi Dennis! Thanks for your great comment! Sounds like you are very busy writing. 🙂
My parents have four girls, too. Their friends always said to them, “Four girls…four weddings…Oh my!” I am lucky to have such amazing and supportive parents, and suspect your girls are quite fortunate as well.
Thank you for your compliments on my focus. I endeavor to assist women achieve their dreams of successful business ownership. It really boils down to leveraging your greatest assets into championship form. Thanks for reading and for sharing your comment. You are now in the running!
You’re welcome. I like what you are providing your site visitors/followers and clients.
What you say about leveraging assets is so true. Not everyone is a naturally gifted athlete or business genius… but we all have something to build from and that we can improve on to reach our goals. It just takes focus and effort. And mentors/advisors such as you help greatly with sharpening the focus so that the efforts are made productively.
Hi Shannon, I am a dietitian working as a nutrition therapist. I own Intuitive Nutrition and have been in business for 2 years. My biggest challenge is getting myself out of my own way – I have some serious fear issues – that I know hold me back – Fear of Failure- Hello!! Anyway, I am from the greater Philadelphia area and I will be home with hubby and 3 kids on Valentine’s Day 🙂
Nice to meet you on the blog! Thank you for taking a moment to respond this morning! I was actually born in Philadelphia while my dad was finishing his MBA at Wharton. 🙂 My parents moved to Chicago when I was a baby, so I have no memories from there, but understand they have great cheese steak.
Fear of Failure is so common for entrepreneurs, as is fear of success. Have you seen my post on fear? Here’s the link – https://blog.drshannonreece.com/2011/01/18/just-because-you-think-it-doesn’t-make-it-real/
If you like the post, I also have an ebook that goes into a lot of great detail with action items to help women overcome the most common types of fear in business.
Great to have your comment, and the chance to enter you into my drawing next week. 🙂 Wishing you and your family a wonderful Valentine’s Day!
