Best Examples of Engagement in Social Media

We all have favorites when it comes to who we follow on social media. Have you ever asked yourself why one person lures you in more than the next? It’s because they have a way of creating engagement with you by the things that they do.

For example, some of my Twitter favorites include –

@LindaSamuels – She is a relationship builder, and makes you feel special in a sea of others Tweeps.

@30secondmom – (aka @elisatalk) Launching her new venture she made solid use of drawing women in to gain valuable tips. Elisa has been & continues to be a woman to watch!

@PatriciaRossi – Just love her approach! She is a conversation starter and connector. I really enjoy her down to earth style. 🙂

On Facebook, a favorite is the Suitcase Entrepreneur, Natalie Sisson. She travels the world and brings you along on her adventures. One valuable tip I learned from observation is that Natalie personally welcomes new fans to her page. This is a practice I have been using because I appreciate every single person who chooses to Like my page, and sincerely want to get to know them better. The better we know our fans, the better we can serve their needs.

As we continue to look at great examples of engagement this week, I was curious to know who you love to follow and asked –

Who you find to be incredibly engaging on social media?

I didn’t get as many examples as I’d hoped, knowing that we all have a favorite, but was very pleased by the fine selections our wonderful contributors provided. I asked each person to include links so that we could see first hand what they described in their comments. Perhaps you will get some great new ideas for how to better engage with your followers on social media, and I hope you will share your favorites with us in the comments below. Enjoy! The Essence of TRUE Leadership – Drive

Part Four of Four

What drives you?

Many might admit to external rewards like money, recognition, status, or power. But for the heart-centered leader, the one I’ve been describing for the past few weeks, the fourth virtue of TRUE leadership is an intrinsically motivated Drive.

Just as the other virtues of Selflessness, Courage, and Integrity come from within, so does one’s Drive to not only succeed, but to lead.

True leaders are conscious of the importance of walking the walk, not just talking the talk, to set the best example and create the most valuable experiences for those with whom they work, clients and team members alike. They are driven by an inherent understanding of the fact that you reap what you sow, and to them a great harvest is not equated with financial gain. Continue reading

How to Create Creative Call to Actions

When it comes to creating opportunities for engagement with your potential customers, I am thankful to be able to call on Tasha Mayberry, online marketing expert, to teach us all some innovative strategies to leverage the ways in which we are already touching people everyday with calls to action. Thanks Tasha!

********************************************

What is a Call to Action?

A call to action (CTA) is the next step you want your target audience to take to further them in the “buying” process, which is the entire process of lead generation, nurturing and conversion.  CTAs will help you drive traffic to you website/blog/social media sites; help you generate, nurture and convert leads, gives direction to your target audience and most importantly will help you make money!

So where do you use call to actions? Every time you create content, there should be a call to action.  You should have a CTA on every web page of your website and in each newsletter, marketing email, blog post, video, ebook, white paper, landing page…again, everywhere you create content, you should have a call to action. The Essence of TRUE Leadership – Integrity

Part Three of Four

In the prior two posts, I presented what I consider to be two of four main virtues of TRUE leadership — meaning leading from within — the first being Selflessness, and the second, Courage. The third, and equally powerful virtue, is your ability to lead with Integrity.

More important than focusing on morality, I love how integrity is also defined as being sound, complete, whole. I believe that refers to your actions being integrated with who you are at the core. Because TRUE leadership is reserved for those who operate from a place of authenticity. Continue reading
